PROCESS HEATING BY ELECTRIC POWER

Burning fossil fuels to produce heat is becoming every day more questionable and more questioned. People are growing a sense of deep discomfort at the simple sight of a chimney, which in the past was on the contrary seen as the symbol of a wealthy and robust economy.

Every second the earth is irradiated by an incredible amount of solar energy, traveled by winds capable of great thrusts, and in general interested by a number of other natural forces that uninterruptedly release unimaginable quantities of potentially available energy.

Converting this free energy into electricity is one of the most challenging frontiers of nowadays technologies.

We believe it is now the time to integrate heat production generated by combustion with heat production generated by electric power. Clearly the electric power should better be from renewable sources, which are growing more and more convenient with the daily technological progress, but even the electric supply from standard networks can be considered as environmentally preferable, because the big power plants have in general much more efficient means and pollution-fighting technologies in comparison to the small fire-heated furnaces the end users’ production plants keep at work.

This is the scenario that drove us to consider the installation of hot oil electric heaters integrated within the existing hot oil heating networks as realistic and rational solutions. Every Kilowatt of heat produced by electric heating results in a proportional saved quantity of fossil fuel and in a related saved mass of CO2 released in the environment.

In addition to that, the wide availability of free surface on the industrial warehouses’ roofs took us to focus our attention on this possible source of renewable energy, aiming at maximizing the sustainability of the process wherever then local geographic conditions make this realistically applicable.

Therefore, our ultimate target is to use solar parks to generate the power used to co-heat the hot oil requested by the production plant, synergistically integrating this additional heater with the plant’s main boiler room.

Thanks to the contribution of highly specialized partner companies, we have the resources to study and propose efficient configurations that can include the solar park too, providing Customers with clever and comprehensive solutions.
